Principal for a Day
Co-hosted with the Columbia County School District, the Chamber Foundation's Principal for a Day Program offers a unique and insightful opportunity for community leaders, business professionals, and local stakeholders to step into the shoes of a school principal for a day. On Thursday, November 20, 2025, participants will gain a firsthand, authentic look at the dynamic environment of our local schools and the multifaceted responsibilities of their leaders.

Why participate as an exhibitor?
This immersive experience is designed to:
-
Foster Deeper Understanding: Provide participants with a comprehensive view of the daily operations, achievements, and challenges faced by principals in today's educational landscape.
-
Strengthen Community-School Partnerships: Build stronger connections between the business community, local government, and our educational institutions, fostering a collaborative environment for student success.
-
Inform and Inspire: Offer a platform for principals to showcase the innovative work happening in their schools and for community leaders to share their perspectives and expertise with students and staff.
-
Highlight Educational Needs: Allow participants to witness the impact of policies and funding on the ground, leading to more informed advocacy for educational resources.

Participants will shadow a principal throughout their day, observing classroom instruction, attending meetings, interacting with students and teachers, and gaining a true appreciation for the dedication and complexity involved in leading a school. It's an invaluable chance to contribute to the ongoing dialogue about education in the Greater Augusta Region and demonstrate a shared commitment to empowering our students.
