After a 4 year hiatus, the Annual Principal for a Day is returning and is hosted by the Columbia County Chamber Foundation and the Columbia County School District Foundation in partnership with Columbia County School District.
The Principal for a Day program pairs local top business executives with a principal for “Principal for a Day,” in a selected Columbia County school. The executive will travel to the designated school and spend the day shadowing the principal, learning the challenges and rewards of leading a school. In return, the executive may share the current workforce needs and management best practices with the principal.
At 3:30, the executive and principal will travel to the Columbia County Performing Arts Center for an Appreciation Reception for all participants to reflect on knowledge learned by all parties and the future partnerships that may be developed.
